COMPANY HISTORY

Kalsbeek & Company was formed in 1998 when Tim and Gloria took over the business from a retiring Certified General Accountant. We had both previously worked for a CGA Public Practice firm in Aldergrove BC, after graduating with accounting degrees from Trinity Western University, which is where our dream of operating an accounting firm started.

The year 1996 was a big year for us – we moved to Prince George from the Lower Mainland, Tim obtained his CGA designation, and we started our family all in the same year! For the next 2 years we worked for the firm that we eventually bought out.

We take great pride in the personal service we provide. We have clients located
throughout British Columbia, in the Territories and straight across Canada into the Atlantic provinces. We have always provided a wide range of services for the small and medium business, from the day-to-day and month-to-month bookkeeping and payroll, preparation and filing of GST and PST tax returns, annual T4’s, as well as the year-end accounting and tax preparation. We love working with clients “from start to finish” so to speak, so they just have to deal with our firm for all their bookkeeping and accounting needs; we find that this helps ensure that things don’t slip through the cracks.

MEET THE TEAM

Tim is the one who prepares the financial statements as well as corporate and personal income tax returns. As a general practitioner in the accounting field, if you have financial questions about your business or personal tax situations he’s your go to person. Tim enjoys working with small and medium-sized businesses of all types.

Every team needs an organizer, and Gloria is ours. She’s the one that keeps the office running smoothly, supports Tim, oversees bookkeeping including the preparation of annual T-slips, and is the primary liaison to Canada Revenue Agency on behalf of our clients.
